Based on the story of Paris' Moulin Rouge! Henri is the owner of a fashionable but financially flailing café in which the entertainment is his belly-dancing lover, Lola. One fateful day, Henri happens upon a café where the cancan is still performed and, inspired by a talented young dancer called Nini, decides to bring the old-fashioned dance back to his café. But as his affections for Nini becomes obvious, jealousies mount.
